Environmental

At 7Fiveyards, we recognise the profound impact that commerce can have on the environment. Motivated by a deep sense of responsibility, we are committed to minimising our impact on the environment and contributing positively to the well-being of our planet. Our mission is to work towards integrating sustainability into every aspect of our business, from sourcing products and packaging materials to reducing energy consumption and promoting eco-friendly practices where possible.

Steps we've taken toward sustainability.

Right-sized packaging

Using packaging that is appropriately sized for the product. Avoid oversized boxes, as they result in excess material and waste.

Biodegradable and recyclable materials

Where possible, we opt for packaging materials that are biodegradable or easily recyclable. This includes using cardboard, paper, and other materials that have a lower environmental impact. Seeking certifications like FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) for paper products for overall product sustainability.example of recyclable packaging used by 7fiveyards to deliver orders

Digital receipts

We now only offer digital email receipts instead of printed ones to reduce paper waste.

Reusing packaging

We reuse product packaging. This can include boxes and void fills to reduce waste, promoting a circular economy.Example of cardboard boxes shredded and used for void fill in 7Fiveyards packing to minimise waste

Green Shipping

We are committed to sustainability, which is why we exclusively use Royal Mail for our smaller deliveries. Royal Mail is the UK’s greenest delivery option, ensuring that your orders are delivered with the smallest possible environmental footprint.

Energy Efficiency

We have implemented practices to reduce energy consumption, such as turning off lights and equipment (Computers & Printers) when not in use.

Continuous Improvement

We continue to have a lot of work ahead of us as a small, independently run business, and we constantly evaluate and revise our packing procedures. As they become accessible and affordable, we are searching for ways to advance and implement fresh, more sustainable solutions.

As you know, reducing packaging waste is a collective effort that involves individuals, businesses, and policymakers working together to create a more sustainable future.
